Our Stories Matter is a Digitally Lit initiative focused on sharing Nova Scotia’s books with readers far beyond the province’s borders. Launched in 2023 with support from the Creative Industries Fund, the project continues to empower a diverse group of Atlantic Canadian youth to champion these stories in fresh, innovative, and authentic ways.
 

After a successful first year supporting four publishing partners, Our Stories Matter has secured a second year of CIF funding, allowing us to expand our support to all interested Nova Scotia book publishers starting in October 2024. With a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility, our passionate team of youth “bookfluencers” is dedicated to enhancing the digital capacity of Nova Scotia publishers by amplifying their books to local, national, and international audiences.
