From the Editor: Introducing The Atlantic Muse—Showcasing the Best Local Art and Storytelling!

The Atlantic Muse: Illustrating Storytelling is a brand new quarterly digital magazine celebrating local illustration and storytellers in harmony with the changing seasons. In this cross post from the blog section of the Atlantic Muse website, Editor in Chief Devangana Sharma says hello:

"Hello readers! As my first time as Editor in Chief for anything, I’m delighted to welcome you all to this blogspace for The Atlantic Muse. Our first upcoming issue will be out this Spring featuring some incredibly talented youth alongside some of my favourite established storytellers in this region. I’m so happy to have the support of the mentors at Digitally Lit and the Digitally Lit youth community. Most important, I’m honoured to have the full support of our eight partnering publishers –Acorn Press in PEI; Bouton d’or Acadie in NB; Breakwater Books in NL; Cape Breton Books in NS; Fernwood Publishing in NS; Formac Lorimer Publishing, also in NS;  Goose Lane Editions, in NB; Pottersfield Press, in NS; and Nimbus Publising, also in NS; and their respective and incredibly talented rossiter of published  authors, illustrators, and other creative collaborators. I intend for each page to be a path of inspiration and a celebration for all storytelling artists in the Atlantic region. I hope The Atlantic Muse allows you to connect with the beautiful scenery of Atlantic Canada and the nature of art. Every quarterly issue will be adjusted to the changing seasons—a rotating canvas reflecting the vibrant colours and stories that make this place a special and unique home to us all.
